Oh my, I’ve gotten behind in blogging! My little Ada, Michigan baby photography studio has been busy with newborns and tons of baby milestone clients. Most recently, little Kellen came in to meet me. He is almost seven months, and he showed off his strong sitting skills. He has such good balance already! This baby boy is full of cuteness, long eyelashes, a sweet smile, and that iconically soft baby skin. During the shoot, his mom and dad helped entertain him, and I got to see firsthand how in love with mommy’s singing Kellen is. I don’t blame him- she is a much better singer than me! Here’s a little peek into the shoot:

I can’t believe these boys are already almost four months old! At their photo shoot today, they stunned me with how much they’ve grown. I had the privilege of photographing their birth, and I last saw them when they came into the studio for their newborn photography shoot in December. What adorable chubby arms and legs, big smiles they have now! They filled my studio with sweet chatter and coos, and we had tons of fun with their mommy and daddy during the session. Their mom is owner of TC Simply Chic, an Etsy crochet shop and makes lots of my baby photography props, so we planned together for some playful setups for this shoot. One that she really wanted to do was a Dr. Suess Thing 1 and Thing 2 themed setup. We kept it simple, but fun, and it turned out great.
Another set up we tried was an idea I had been wanting to do, using a new mushroom prop I recently purchased. I asked Momma to make me some red gnome hats for her boys. These boys aren’t at the sitting up milestone yet, so we faked it with several images that I put together during editing.
The boys look totally adorable, and I would love to do this set up again with a 6-7 month old sitter in the future. More photos from the session are in the full gallery. Oh, handsome Drew, you make Grand Rapids baby photography look so good! This little man had the biggest smile and such amazing, blue eyes! He came in with his mom and dad, and they were all so much fun. We got several milestone shots of Drew at the six-month stage, where he showed off his fabulous sitting skills and was happy as could be on his tummy. Then, we got a few Christmas photos, too. I love little Drew in my big, soft santa hat! Mom came with several cute accessories of her own for him to model, too. The gray hat is one of my favorites! Merry first Christmas to you, Drew! If you’re looking for an Ada, Michigan baby photographer, please come see me! I had so much fun with Max at his six month shoot. I first met Max when he was here for photos at three months old, and he makes such a great baby model. I just love working with babies this age! The big, gummy smiles, bright eyes, and chubby legs are all favorites of mine. Max came in with his mommy and daddy, and he was wearing the cutest little man outfit. We got some shots of his dressed up and then changed him into a diaper cover and some hats for more photos. Take a look at some of the photos of Max at six months:
He’s already grown so much and got so much stronger since three months ago! He’s a champion sitter. It’s fun to see how he grows! Here’s a comparison of him at three months and again at six months:
That same expression came through that I remember capturing during his last session. I’m excited to continue being a part of his journey when he comes back for 9 and 12 month photos later on.
Take a look inside my Grand Rapids baby photographer session with three month old Max. This session was the first time I met this cutie, and I have the pleasure of seeing him again over the course of his whole first year! He came in with his mommy and grandma, and he was so much fun to photograph! He has such soft, creamy skin and sparkling eyes. His momma also brought him a cute little suit to wear for some of the photos. After birth, the first couple months fly by so quickly that three months comes up and can pass by without much notice. This point in development is so special to document, though! A lot has already changed for most babies in the first three months. Max is at the stage of perfecting tummy time, lifting his head up strongly, and showing of some adorable smiles. Here are some peeks from his session:
